QuickBooks Restore

The only QuickBooks backup that rebuilds a live company file.

Every other QB backup tool hands you an IIF export or a CSV and wishes you luck. We rebuild your QuickBooks company file end-to-end — chart of accounts, customers, vendors, transactions, attachments — validated to the cent before you cut over.

The process

From restore request to a working company file in under 24 hours.

Five steps. Our team handles four of them. You only do the last.

1

You raise a restore request

Click "Restore" in your WOW dashboard, select the snapshot date, and tell us what you need — full company restore, a specific date range, or a point-in-time slice. If you have a Restore coupon (included free with every signup), it applies automatically.

2

We provision a new QBO company file

We create a brand-new QuickBooks Online company file using Intuit's official OAuth flow. The new company is yours — billed to you, owned by you. We operate as a temporary authorised user with restore-only permissions.

3

We rebuild the data in strict dependency order

Chart of accounts and tax codes first, then customers, vendors, and items, then the full transaction history — invoices, bills, payments, credit memos, journal entries, bank transactions, purchase orders, transfers. Attachments re-uploaded and re-linked to the correct transactions. This order matters: you cannot write a payment before the invoice it references.

4

We validate against the source snapshot

Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss are reconciled against the original backup snapshot. Every variance is investigated and explained. Any record that cannot be exactly recreated via the QBO API is documented and reviewed with you before sign-off.

5

You cut over

You review, sign off, and switch your team to the new company file. The original company remains untouched — preserved for audit, forensic review, or future reference. Your historical records are exactly as they were.

WOW vs the alternatives

Why 'just export to CSV' is not a backup.

CSV export / IIF export

"Here's a file. Good luck."

· Flat file — relational links between records are lost

· IIF format is notoriously unreliable for re-import

· Reconciliation status is not preserved

· Attachments not included — must download separately

· Transactions reference Customer IDs that no longer exist

· Import must be done in strict order — one wrong step corrupts the whole file

· QBO Advanced full rollback: entire company rolls back, all recent work lost

· No SLA, no validation, no one to call
