A desktop accounting application that gives your firm a fully functioning, double-entry general ledger any time you need to operate outside Xero. Import a backup, keep posting transactions, run audited reports, and push everything back to Xero when you're ready.
Cross-platform · Offline-first · Round-trip safe with Xero
Built for the moments your firm cannot afford to stop billing, posting, or reconciling.
Point WOW Continuity at a Xero JSONL or CSV backup folder and within seconds you have a working environment with your full chart of accounts, contacts, opening balances, organisation details, and complete transaction history. From there your team can keep recording invoices, bills, payments, transfers, and journals exactly as they would in Xero — with reports that balance to the cent against the imported source.
When your Xero environment is back in service, export a Xero-compatible CSV bundle and re-import everything you posted while you were offline. No manual re-keying. No reconciliation guesswork.
Six core capabilities, engineered for the precision and traceability your practice demands.
Reads JSONL and CSV interchangeably. Brings in the full chart, contacts, tax rates, organisation details, branding, opening balances, and historical transactions — invoices, bills, credit notes, journals, bank transactions, and payments. Tested at 17,000+ line items in under a second.
A runtime ledger engine handles AR, AP, tax payable and receivable, payment legs, multi-line bank coding, and inclusive-versus-exclusive tax semantics. Trial Balance and Balance Sheet reconcile to the penny on real-world data.
Supports Australia, New Zealand, Canada (with provincial tax rates), the United States (with states), and the United Kingdom. Country selection drives currency defaults, tax rate defaults, and the terminology used throughout — BAS, GST, GST/HST, VAT, or Sales Tax.
One install holds many client continuity sessions side by side. Switch between firms with a click. Each session keeps its own chart, transactions, balances, and reports, and nothing is silently deleted.
Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Aged Receivables, Aged Payables, and country-aware Sales Tax / BAS / GST / VAT returns. Every report exports to branded PDF, and every figure is traceable back to the underlying ledger activity.
When restoration is complete, export Xero-compatible CSVs for every entity type — invoices, bills, credit notes, payments, bank transactions, journals, contacts, and opening balances. Tax type strings, line groupings, and date formats are preserved to Xero's import contract.
Download the Mac DMG (Apple Silicon or Intel) or the Windows installer. No server. No subscription. No account required.
Create a new continuity session, choose your country, and point WOW Continuity at your Xero backup folder. The chart, contacts, balances, and historical transactions load in seconds.
Keep posting. Invoices, bills, credit notes, journals, bank transactions, payments, transfers — all with multi-currency support, inline coding, bulk approval, and bank reconciliation tools.
When Xero is back, export the Xero-compatible CSV bundle and re-import. Every transaction posted during the outage flows back into the cloud cleanly.
Company.json.Everything you need to know before you download.
No. It's a continuity tool. It mirrors enough of Xero's structure and behaviour to keep your firm operating during an outage, restoration, or migration window — and then hands the work back to Xero through a clean export.
Yes. The accounting engine performs runtime double-entry posting and has been tested against a real-world dataset of 17,000+ line items. Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss reconcile to within a penny.
Both .csv and .jsonl exports. The same import logic handles either format, so you don't need to convert files before loading them.
Yes. WOW Continuity supports unlimited continuity sessions in a single install. Each session is fully isolated.
Opening balance import from QBD is supported today — drop in your QBD export folder and WOW Continuity will pull opening balances from Account.json and company details from Company.json. Full QBD transactional import is on the roadmap.
Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Country selection drives currency, tax rate defaults, and the tax-return terminology used in the app.
Locally, on your machine, in a SQLite database. Nothing is sent to a server. Nothing leaves your computer unless you export it.
